Integrate my site and forum...

What I want to do is, if a user is logged in the forums, his avatar and his username in the phrase "Welcome username" to be displayed in the pages of my site. And if he is logged in to be able to see things that users that arernt logged in cant see. Can someone help me do that? I know php so if you give me just the code i wont have problem. Thanks.

Sicne you know PHP it'll be easy to add it in. There are also ssi example in your forum.
