Hi,

What kind of hosting is this? What kind of usage (members online) does your site experience?

Christian

Its hosted by fasthosts and the forum is new so not many members yet, average is only about 6 online at any one time, we have 33 members at present but this is rising by the day.
I spoke to them and they said that everything was set up right.

im no expert but why are there so many queries being requested and memory usage so high?

any help would be grand  :)

Hi,

I'd suggest that you go into the Admin panel -> Look and Layout -> Disable Hostname Lookups (check it).

Other than that, it's most likely your hosting provider. If the server is overloaded, then it will cause that.

Remember that the stats you see are for the entire server - not just your site.

Christian

Hello TLS Sparky, are you still experiencing performance issues?

Have you tried Christian's suggestion?

Please do not PM me with support requests unless I invite you to.

Hi yeah sorry forgot to report back, well i got totally fed up with fasthosts slow servers and there even slower technical support so i dumped them, moved to Charlottezweb Hosting and i must say its spot on, nice and fast even though all our members are in the uk.

Thanks for the help guys
