I am new to all this but I am trying to establish a new forum with a friend. Can anyone tell me how to get the URL searchable by Yahoo, Google etc. The Host has tried to index it unsuccessfully. Are there any tricks, or setup requirements to make this possible? Any assistance will be gratefully appreciated.

When other sites start to link to yours you will have your site indexed by all the search engines.

To speed this up, you can try submitting it to web directories.

To do it in one word... "TIME". This topic has been discussed at length here. You can do a search, or just start scrolling through this board and find some usefull information.

Or you can browse other forums with information and help for forum admins (Like the one in my sig ) or other webmaster related websites.
Most ot the time you'll find plenty of information there.
