Problem w/url after upgrading

I've finally upgraded from YaBBSE/Enigma to SMF 1.1.1/TinyPortal and extremely happy!

However, I am now having a problem with the way my website is accessed.

If you go to http://www.sfboarders.com it seems like it is redirecting to http://www.sfboarders.com/index.php?www (Not sure why it's doing that.)

Sometimes if you go to http://sfboarders.com it will give you a 403 forbidden error. Sometimes it will work. Not sure what's going on as it worked before.

I did a search and find a common post that was on mod_security but this does not be the cause of the problem. Your help is greatly appreciated!.

Check your error log. Not your SMF error log but the error log that you /may/ be able to access via your web hosting control panel. Looks like and smells like a permissions issue. What's the index or index.template. or even index.html file's permissions set to?

755, 777?

Also - wild stab in the dark...

Double check, in SMF, your forum's URL settings. They're under core configuration in server settings.

I checked out the permissions. Can you test it on IE and FF thru http://sfboarders.com and http://www.sfboarders.com for me ? It seems to be working now.  Also is that "?www" suppose to be at the end of the url?

Can't really test in IE at the moment. I am not booted to Windows. And no, no the ?www isn't supposed to be there. I suspect that is added by something other than SMF however.
