How to change post layout?

Hi everybody, I was working on my forums and had a couple of questions...

The first big one is, how do you change the post layout? Er...to be more specific, I want to make it so the View Profile, Website, send PM, etc. buttons are on a separate row below the signature, along with the Quote (and if your a mod) delete, split, etc. buttons.

My second question is a little simpler to solve...but its still giving me a headache  I set a gradient as the background for the row that contains the Reply, etc. buttons, but it tiles and looks...really bad. So if somebody could tell me where to find the code for that...it'd be very appreciated.
