Best document archiving integration

I have a forum set up for teachers. On this site I would like for them to be able to post lesson plans and other documents that they would find useful. I would like to have them organized by date, topic, reference material that can be searched. Have access to mysql and can add DB's as needed.
My question is what would be the easiest way to do this? Anticipate needing a submission form so that the information is stored in some easily retrievable way.
Would probably need some content management system but need something very easy to set up and manage as time is short.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
