Questions:
I currently have a Joomla with Community Builder + SMF Bridge.  I am using the community builder registration setting in the SMF Bridge.

1) I'm using CB Registration Form, how do I get a e-mail notification a new user has registered and is awaiting approval?

2) What does this CB_Workflows module do,  Does it need to be displayed on the front page for the user to see?

3) Changing user passwords,  Just tried to change a users passworder in user management under community builder.  I try to login using the new password and it does not allow me to.  Any ideas what is going on?

4) How do I change the background color in a Joomla template?

5) In Joomla under Global Configuration -> Site (YES or NO to ALLOW USER SELF REGISTERATION?)

Kindred

1) set the notification of new accounts in joomla admin

2) never heard of it. no idea what CB_Workflows is.... it's not part of the bridge.

3) Correct. Passwords can only be changed in SMF. The same is true for Usernames and email addresses.

4) modify your joomla template CSS file.

5) Set it to what you want....

So you mean to say if a user needs a password change.  I must go thru the SMF admin section to change their password and not in Joomla?

Kindred

yes...

and if the user himself tries to change his password, he will have to do it in SMF.

What are you using CB for anyway?   If it's just additional profile fields, then I suggest you use the custom profile fields mod for SMF...   (which can require the additional fields during registration)

I'm using Joomla + CB for the features it offers.

There was a SMF calendar events module but it doesn't work or wasn't finished.  I need event registration.  Joomla + CB so far provides this capability.  SMF is a great forum package though.

Question - I just noticed that a user that registers on the cb registration page, their data doesn't showup in the smf profile? am I missing or linking something wrong?

Kindred

1) the SMF calendar module works perfectly well and is finished...   I wrote it and use it on 4 sites...

2) I am working on an attendees mod package for SMF.

3) the user will be put into smf after their first login using the mod_smf_login.

Honestly, I don't see the big deal about CB. Nearly everything in CB can be done in SMF...
