Muise, those errors have nothing to do with the installation of the mod. If you will read my post I have made it very clearly that I updated the mod that can be installed with the version 1.1.3. Other than that I am not responsible for anything else. And from what I saw, the mod installed just fine in your 1.1.3 smf. To learn how to use the mod check out its settings in the admin panel

AdviseorAnswers.com

This mod will install / install on 1.1.3

BUT only if you have NO other mods installed. Once it is installed it will instantly set off 30 different errors. Referrals produces even more errors and they are not taken to a signup page. I tested this on 25 referrals and 2 were able to signup. The rest were either taken to an error page or a blank page.

So now what?

I wouldn''t know about that, but I will repeat again to you the very same thing I told  you yesterday with PM. I don''t know anything at all about this mod. The only thing that I can guarantee is that it will install in a 1.1.3 version, which it does. For the rest it is not my problem, period. I was upfront with you yesterday, remember?

babjusi ...

I was in no way saying you mislead me. The mod did do just as you said it would. The problem with this mod lays deeper then being able to install it. It does install and uninstall without fail. I know, because I have done both many times today.

I apologize if my statements lead anyone to think that babjusi mislead me. babjusi has always given me great advice. As a matter of fact, I was rereading a post in which he is helping me another issue when I received notification that this topic had a new reply.

I have paid 3 programmers to fix this mod and the only one that got it to do as they say it would was babjusi. The other two says it should work completely. But if you install it, on 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 you will instantly start logging errors. Even if installed on a fresh copy with no mods at all.

This would be a great mod to have as my members are not into having to send out a email to invite new members. I noticed that the shop mod has some features that the affiliate mods does. Can it be modified to work as an affiliate program also? I'm no php or SQL wiz at all, but just a thought.

well it looks like this mod was a waste of money.  to many issues with it.  won't install if there are other mods but I want the other mods also.  Looks like I may need to pay someone else to build it from scratch to work for me.  didn't realize it would be this complicated.

where does the mod options go cos i cant find them.

nvm i found it

El Reclutador 2003

Where is the "Path to script banner (relative to your root forum path)"

It's this script installed when you install this mod? I'm using 1.1.4. (i edited the *.php files to make comptabile with my actual mods, but i didn't see any banner script).

thanks.

Hello, I'm pretty new to SMF

I am using affiliate mod-1.1.3 on my smf 1.1.5 forum. I didn't have to manually install it/modify template files for my template (it's not the default) and it works just fine. The only problem is that the users can't see how many points they have. So the everything internally is working fine (the mod is counting up points right and everything), it's just that only the admin (me) can view the point count. I know that individual users should be able to see their own point count because when i set the template back to the default, there is a link on the main menu interface (the top horizontal bar) that says "affiliate" and shows their score once you click on it.

So my question is: do i have to manually install the mod? I have tried doing this, but gave up (it was too complicated).

All i need to do is get that link to show up at the top of the page, is there anyway i could get it there without manually installing the mod?

If i do need to manually install the mod i'm going to need someone to walk me through it..

I also see an option within affiliate mod that says:

Path to script banner (relative to your root forum path): path/xxx.php
Path to the file which is goint to display to guests: path/xxx.txt

Might this have something to do with user's ability to see their own affiliate stats?
I have the path left on default setting..

Thanks Ahead!

I'm getting the error in my error log...

Quote8: Undefined index: action
File: /***/***/***/***/***/forum/Themes/default/Errors.template.php (main_above sub template - eval?)
Line: 610

This is what is on lines 608-611

  // Affiliate mod changes

if ($_POST["action"] == "affiliateadmin")
$context['current_action'] = $_POST["action"];

Any ideas on how to fix this?

sq1990

in the Affiliate mod settings i see these two settings:
1) Path to script banner (relative to your root forum path) path/xxx.php
2) Path to the file which is goint to display to guests path/xxx.txt
And i can't see how much points the members got.

Do you know what i have to do with the path/xxx.php and path/xxx.txt?

And how i can see how many points my members have?

Thanks for help!
