How to add watermark on the picture that is posted as attachment.

You would either need to use ImageMagick (via system calls or the old php extension) or some fancy magic with gd. I suppose NetPBM would be a valid solution as well, but I don't know if it could do what is needed.

If you don't know how to do watermarking with either one of these, you really need to read up on that before ever trying to figure out how to do so in SMF.
