I can't seem to figure this one out. I have searched for an answer and there hasn't been a good answer, other than reinstall the forum.
What happens is: When a guest clicks on the register button they are taken to the restration page, after input the pertenant data and checking the "I agree" checkbox, they click the "Register" button and nothing happens. They page doesn't refresh and no error is give. Nothing at all happens, like if you missed and didn't actually click on the "Register" button. The only customization that I did to the forum was install a theme.

hxxp:loyalty.kicks-ass.org/index.php?action=register [nonactive]

EDIT:
I tried it in IE rather than Firefox and the button is grayed out.

does this function correctly when using the default theme?

if so, then it is a theme issue, that would likely need to be taken up with the author of the theme.

you could however ensure that the javascript files in the theme function correctly (if theres none in the theme, then its using the ones in Themes/default/)

Honestly, I never used the default theme. When I set it up, the theme was the first thing that I changed. Come to think of it, I think that there may have been something wrong with the whole thing from the start, the forum never looked right. I have attached a screen shot of what it looks like if I don't use the other theme.

metallica48423

that could be your problem -- the path on your default theme is wrong.

What is repair_settings.php?

With all due respect, I don't see how this can be wrong. I extracted the zipped file directly into the server directory. I was sitting in front of the server as I did this. The only thing that stands out from this repair_settings.php is

No offense taken.

If the default theme's Path is wrong, as evidenced by the untemplated screen shown, it cant find the javascript file in the Themes/default directory due to this, which would directly cause the javascript to not function.  This file likely does not exist in your

Did you verify all the paths were correct while looking at the bottom part of the repair_settings.php?

if so, does your default theme work?

You could try copying the script.js file to the new theme, alternatively.  its in /Themes/default/

well there certainly wasn't a scrip.js file in the directory with the other theme in it. but it still isn't working. Thank you so much for helping, btw. I really appreciate it.

The default theme's path is still incorrect for some reason...

If you'd like i can take a look at everything i just need the FTP information to do so.

If you wish for me to take a look, send me a PM with the pertinent information

Thanks to metallica48423, he was able to notice that I was pointing to the wrong directory. Thanks again metallica48423.

Glad to help.

for others' reference:  The default theme URL was wrong, so it was failing to load the script.js file from it.
