Okay,

I've been using smf now for about two weeks, however i keep running into some errors. For starters I want my site to be like a portal with access to downloads/gallery/forum as well as "news" content. So I installed tinyportal. Everything went great. Now I wanted to bridge my smf with gallery2 yet that wasn't working. Not that the install would go fine and then show errors, just that during the practice install it would say that it can't connect to files like index.php and display.php and things like that. Since I'm still fairly new, I don't understand if this means I can't use certain mods/bridges... or can I possibly fool around with the php coding so the installations will work?

My site is supposed to be a community of graphics designers that doubles as a resource site for non-graphics designers who want to request graphics.

Anyone know of any good mods I should/could use? All comments appreciated. right now my site is down cuz of i tried to install the gallery2 mod and it replaced the files from my light gallery mod, and so i have to start all over =( luckily my host can just upload a backup from yesterday.
