Hi!
I am migrating the Pardus Worldforum (http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl [nofollow]) from phpbb to SMF, using the converter.
First I put all the files of the old forum to http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/old [nofollow]
After this I installed the SMF, which was quite easy.
After this I got a lot of complaints because people wanted to stroll the old forum, so I want to convert the old database to SMF (which is possible with phpBB to SMF converter).

After starting the converter I am nof sure what the address of phpBB is, as I moved the whole directory to 'old'.

Using: /home/vhosts/pardus-linux.nl/subdomains/worldforum/httpdocs/old
Gives the message:
QuoteSorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of phpBB2. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the MySQL account used does not have permissions to access it.

The error MySQL gave was: SELECT command denied to user 'forum2'@'localhost' for table 'phpbb_users'

Using: /home/vhosts/pardus-linux.nl/subdomains/worldforum/httpdocs
Gives:
QuoteThe converter detected that your host has open_basedir enabled on this server. Please ask your host to disable this setting or try moving the contents of your phpBB2 to the public html folder of your site.

I exported the database and put it in both the root and the old directory, but that is not working at all.

For the phpBB database I made a database called 'worldforum'
For the SMF I made a database called 'pardusworldforum'
