automatic add to Membergroups

We have a simple machines forum and were trying to to find out if there's a way to automatically add people to member groups when they purchase from our online store. or if they register for the forum they can get added to a certain member groups automatically.

is there a script that can do either of these things?

example: someone buys an eCourse through our 1shoppingcart store, that is only accessible to a specific member group in the downloads area of our forum.

We would either like them to be automatically registered and added to the eCourse member group in the forum.

Or they would get an e-mail from one shopping cart telling them to register for the forum. After they registered they would then somehow be added to their specific member group automatically.

or does anyone know of someone who could write this kind of script for us if there isn't one available?

any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
