Main menu (site), new topic etc

Can't there be an option to have different images for the main menu buttons (of the entire site at the top) and also to new topic, poll etc buttons?

I only ask because they dont seem right as just text, for example the menu before was perfect because it stood out and you knew it was there straight away.

It is just a theme update, so if you wanted, you could do it on your site.
