insert custom html header

I have tried for days now without success to add a header / footer to the site. I keep getting template parse errors...
The header is located to view at: hxxp:atlguides.com/forum/header/header.htm [nonactive]

Are there any instructions for this?  Thanks

Hi,

you are trying to edit the index.template.php, right?
Most people forget to "seperate" html and php code.

php code
echo'
html code (like div, table,...)
';
php code and so on

You are correct....  I thought that is what i was doing... (not the best php coder unfortunately) i will try again and post the code if no luck... thanks a lot...

You can even post the code IF/WHEN it works. Then you've given back to the community and get the whole "feel good" thing going on.
