Hello, I converted to Simple Machine from phpBB2 after having lots of security problems. Except for a few little glitches where I had to run some maintenance operations everything seemed to be working good and everyone was happy. Now this morning I went to check the board and it isn't loading at all!

Everything was working fine last night, the only thing that I changed recently was adjusting the time zone offset, because I noticed that all the posts were off by an hour from Daylight Savings. I tried to access the readme.html and that seems to be working fine ( hxxp:www.closetgamers.com/forum/readme.html [nonactive] ) and I also tried replacing the index.php file and the load.php, as well as some of the index template files. No dice :(

I have no idea what happened, but my other simple machine forum on the server is working fine and the only my webhost admins say they've worked on is some DNS stuff unrelated to my account.

Anyone have any ideas??

Looks okay now.  Before when I rtied it, it wouldn't load at all.

Your hosting may have been temporarily down.

I have to say it loads relatively slowly for me the first time I tried (about 20 seconds for the forum to appear and I'm on cable), but it did load.  I would say it is your host causing this slowdown as a few minutes later it was loading quickly and that would be the most likely explanation.  Here is a breakdown of the access times for each component:

I would check this out when you have slowdowns again to see how long for everything to load at that point.  You can compare the loading times to this forum and to my forum:

http://www.webperf.org/breakdown.html?URL=www.simplemachines.org%2Fcommunity%2F
http://www.webperf.org/breakdown.html?URL=www.anythingeverything.org

These are good to look at mainly when you have stuff not loading quickly.  You can then see which ones (initial connect or individual images/components) are showing slowdown to isolate it.  If you have content you link to offsite, sometimes that can be the root issue.  That page doesn't appear to show ads offsite, though, so it is all internal to the hosting or coding-related for the theme/any changes you've made.
