I am not sure why, but if I log out of the forum and click on a board lets say "General Discussion" when I do I am asked to login.  I do not want to log in just to view a new post.  Anybody have any ideas to what the problem is??  I have checked board permissions and all ic checked, also when to features and options and made sure the "guest able to browse forum" is clicked and still no success.  Anything I am missing here and thanks for your quick response.

SMF vs. Godzilla? Who do you think will win?

yes that is enabled and checked, or does it need to be unchecked?

Any mods or code changes made to your forum? The reason I ask is because that doesn't sound like default SMF behavior. In SMF when you don't have access to a board the board won't even be listed on the board index. It sounds like you may be using this mod - http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=610

Anyways, if you don't have any mods dealing with that, check Admin / Boards / Board name - Modify to check Access Groups to make sure Guests are checked to have access to the board.

Actually I do not have that one installed........I have Member Awards, default membergroup on registrations, and single category and that is it.  So still puzzled on this one

Did you install any of those recently before this problem began? Have you tried going to another computer to view your site? Can we have a link to the forum?
