Need to change forum access URL / SMF installation directory

SMF Version: SMF 1.1.3

Hi,

We recently install SMF on its own directory (http://www.foros.dominicana.web.do/smf [nofollow])

Our question is to know if possible to change the forum access url to http://www.foros.dominicana.web.do [nofollow], without moving SMF files from its original above indicated directory.

Please indicate how to do this, we are not experts, neither we have experience.

If you want to change the forum access url to your root directory, then the smf files have to be moved from the ''smf'' directory to the root directory. To do this, upload the smf files to your pc then reupload them to the root directory and then run repair_settings.php,  What is repair_settings.php?and click on the recomended values

P.s. I just checked out your site and it looks like very fresh installation of smf. Instead of the above mentioned way, you can simply install smf directly to the root directory and delete the ''smf'' directory
