Installing themes under RC2

I have been running SMF for a little while now, I am not very php savvy, but I think I have found a bug in the installation of themes under RC2.

On a test server running

Windows 2003 Server
Php v4.3.9
MySQL v4.0.21-Win
SMF RC2  (a brand new install)

When I install a theme it seems to keep under  Theme Settings  /  This theme's images URL:  the default theme's path to the images area instead of changing to the newly install theme's proper path.

I found when I change the theme's images URL path to the proper path manually after installing the theme, it works fine..

How are you installing it?

If you're creating a copy of the default theme, that's the wrong way.... and will cause this.

i download the theme with .tar extension, and installed it using from file option. it said installed okay, but the path is still wrong.

I just installed two themes under RC2 (zipped, not tarred) and it worked perfectly fine.

I uploaded the theme using the admin menu / theme and layout setting / Install a New Theme option.

I have noticed as well it sometimes does not extract the full archive to the theme directory, when I manually extracted after I did the method above, and then changed the image path its was ok.
