SMF Joinable Groups

Hello there,

I just want to have something like a fanclub or group club features. Members of my forum can create and join in different groups.

they will have an option to leave the group or post bulletin about that group.
Much likely if there is an update or notification in every member about the latest group activity.

it could go along with subscribing to it as well, the "fan club" will get notifications of changes etc.

what do you think?

Well, I don't believe that there is anything for SMF 1.1.x, but Joinable groups is a feature in SMF 2 Beta.

Which version of SMF do you have?

I have smf 1.1.5 version and I don't think if SMF 2 beta have the same features as described in my first post above. :rolleyes:

But with the Joinable Groups feature form SMF 2 Beta, you could make a new board for the Joinable group, and they could post all of their infomation there, its not exactly what you want but its a possible soluction.

Hopefully somebody will look at porting this feature back from SMF 2 Beta to SMF 1.1.x.

Hope this is also available for 1.1.10. i really want this mod.

Joinable groups hasn't, AFAIK, been backported to 1.1.
