Hi people

I have been trying to install the beta at my forum hxxp:www.computingforum.org [nonactive] and have continuosly had problems and no success. I was wondering, i know its cheeky and asking alot, but is there anyone out there that would be prepared to do this if i give them the relevant details. You would be doing me the biggest favour. I do understand that its a beta and that there may be bugs.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Justin, this service (installing SMF for members) is provided for Charter Members. If you need to do this, you should have posted in the Help Wanted section instead.

Probably won't take long...what the heck. Send me a PM with the details for SMF, FTP and your webhost login (control panel). Make sure you backup your SMF database and files first before I go in.

You have already installed a 1.1.4 forum at the above mentioned url. So you will need to upgrade that forum to the 2.0 Beta 3P instead and not install the 2.0 Beta 3P.

All you have to do is overwrite your forum files with the set from the large 1.1.4 upgrade package and then point your browser to the upgrade.php script and the upgrader will take care of everything. Don''t forget to delete it when you are done though.

For more info have a look at the below link also

And don''t forget to make a thorough backup of your db before you upgrade your forum
