how can i do it ? ..... please  :-[

If you have an existing database I would do a fresh install of SMF into the same database as your existing version with a *fake* table prefix (For example use test_). Once you have a fresh install working just edit Settings.php and change the table prefix to your old one (probably smf_). It will then use the old database. You will probably get an error about your paths - if that's the case you then just download repair_settings.php from the Downloads->Tools page here and run that to make the error go away. Once you have it all working just delete the test_ tables and you're done. I hope that made sense...
I'm only a half geek really...

what if you had to move the database from one server to the other with a different name of the database?

I filled out that entire form but it does not allow me to save it even if all the fields have been filled out.

If it doesn't let you save it, Settings.php is not writable.
