Scrolling using IE

I don't know if this has been mentioned before. I did a few searches with different combinations of keywords and didn't find anything.

Anyway, there's a problem while viewing threads with IE7. If you left click inside a post, mice autoscroll won't work and the keyboard up/down arrows won't scroll. If you click again OUTSIDE the post area, then they work again.

It seems to be an SMF-specific bug.

Its more or less a bug in IE not complying with w3c standards, but SMF exploits it.  Its because of the CSS definition for the div that contains the post, appropriately named 'post'.  If you remove the 'overflow' value from the css, the problem goes away.

Hmm. What to do what to do...

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll do just that and remove that entire line.

Given that I'm using a 100% variable width template on my site, it's highly unlikely there'll be even one overflow problem with FF.

Good question, I haven't a clue.  Un-stuck.
