I have been a phpbb user/promoter for years.

I recently came across SMF (probably would have sooner, but wasn't really looking).

I am now a convert. SMF is ALOT easier to deal with on the admin side especially in regards to adding mods.

I have also been able to pick up the PHP programming layout a lot faster than with phpbb, because (in my opinion) it is a much better programming design.

So, I just wanted to post and say THANK YOU to the SMF team and all who are involved.

And ..... GOD Bless programmers WORLD WIDE who still believe in FREE code.

Welcome to SMF VoteVsVote and thank you for your kind words :)

Welcome to the better half of free software!

After tinkering for SMF for years now, one thing that stands out on SMF IS the templating system. I firmly believe that anything, no matter how crazy, is possible with SMF's template system.
The only thing php can't do is tell you how much milk is left in the fridge.

Thanks for using SMF :)

I will agree.. I was using phpbb and I hated it.. It was hard for me to add hacks and god forbid I had to take them out, forget it.. I was pulling my hair out! then I started having major problems where some of my members ket on getting logged out and it was effecting my board, so I did some research and was talking to the owner of another board I'm on and he highly recomended SMF.. I LOVE it!  I've been pushing a freind of mine to convert over to SMF since I converted..
