How to integreat just the login form and info after login on my Wordpress blog

Hey guys,

For my site, I want to have a login form in the sidebar where people can login to their forum account and once they have logged on they can see if they have any new messeges and maybe a link to the latest post or watever else I can do to customize it.

That's it really..

I hope it's possible, if not, it isn't toooo big a problem.

you can use SSI...
include ssi.php and then call ssi_login();
