Gradually Losing Permissions or something

I have a forum and it has been getting a heavy load. On BLuehost it is even getting throttled. They said we were using 240megs of space on the database or something. I dont understand all this.

Anyway, my problem began over the weekend. My admin backend used to have options down the sidebar. All of a sudden they are gone. All I have are the dropdowns across the top.

Then yesterday, my options to ban people, change profiles and delete profiles while looking at the members profile are not there anymore. Now, I have to ban people by going to the admin and copy and pasting the username, email and ip address. I still cant change a persons profile anymore. I talked to my other admins and none of them have this issue, only me. Anyone know the cause of this?

If you use a different browser, does everything work OK?

I first noticed it on my android and got home and it was the same way on chrome.

Have you tried emptying the cache of your browsers and, perhaps, deleting the cookie(s). Something may have got corrupted. What if you use the SMF default theme?

I did clear cache and it didnt help. I have not tried the default theme.

That bit could be down to an unticked option in

Profile > Look & Layout > "Use sidebar menus instead of dropdown menus when possible."

... assuming you have that choice in the 1.* branch

It's easy to accidentally toggle that view with that double arrow doodaa near the top of the page.

OK. I checked that box and it fixed everything! Question though: How did the box become unchecked? I had not ever been to that part of my profile until just now, so I dont know that it was ever checked. Obviously, I didnt go in there and accidentally change it, since I didnt know that area was even there.
