Private threads in a board

Brand new to this forum and was wondering if this idea has already been discussed.

Is it possible to give a specific board on a forum the ability to have private threads started? This way when a person starts a thread in such a board only that member who started it and the leadership of the board will be able to view the thread. This way, private discussions and concerns can be addressed without every member of a forum eavesdropping in.
