Ok i'm on localhost.. Well I mean i run my site off my computer. I use xampp and i got my own name servers..

So like if u go to my site, hxxp:24-7gt.com [nonactive]

it goes to my site that i host here

But if i go to hxxp:24-7gt.com [nonactive] at my house, then it goes to my IP Address.. because i host my own site.

but  if other people go to the domain then it works ok ok u get that right
?
But if i install smf i must PUT EVERYTHING for hxxp:24-7gt.com [nonactive] so then i cant browse my forums from localhost because the styles/cookies dont work mest up so therefore i have to use the library to admin my site.. and that's not fun..

So ok question is there a mod that allows like using localhost work?[at your house u can browse the site still] bcz i host phpbb and i can view my site w/o any problems with localhost and on phpbb it's all set to hxxp:24-7gt.com [nonactive] but on SMf it's all set to hxxp:24-7gt.com [nonactive] but when i got to localhost then it redirects me to hxxp:24-7gt.com [nonactive] bcz that's the domain i made IT AND I had to make it that so my other users can cannot properly, lol

I have ran my own site before and I never ran into that problem before.

Have you tried changing the cookie settings for your SMF Forums
Admin - Server Settings - Feature Configuration - Try local cookies and if that does not work then try subdomain cookies

Are your name servers local as well?  You can try to add a HOST file to your local computer and point the 24-7Gt.com to your local computer and then you should be able to hit the site exactly like you want outside of your internal network and get the proper layout and access.

I have a server set up at my house and i just added a url to it so I didn't have to use the ip anymore. All I did was buy a domain name and use Anames at the registrar to point the ip at the domain name and then run repair_settings.php file to change all the paths to the url instead of the ip.
