I am now assuming that this is a Bug. No one seems to know how to fix the problem.

BuG???

-----------------------------------------

I just went to install 2 new themes through the package manager (EARTHMOM AND SUNSET). I think I tried Sunset and now I get error "Unable to load the 'html_above' template."

I tried ftp'ing both templates up to the site but the error remains and site is down.

I tried the repair_settings.pho but it didn't help.

Anyone know how to clear this problem and make the forum work again?

Version of SMF running?
Are those themes compatible with your version.

You should be able to switch back to the default theme by adding onto the end of your url
;theme=1

They may not be compatible. Stupid me forgot to check first.

It did switch me to the theme the way you described but once I tried to login....I got that error again..

SleePy

is the index.template.php empty in the sunset theme?

No...theres a lot of data in it.

This isn't a SMF bug, its a theme bug with that theme.
I will let the appropriate people know :)

Thanks but how Do I getthe thing working again? It's been down all day and I have tried and tried to figure this out.

you can do as suggested above.
You may need to do it again as soon as you login though since the default theme is being set as sunset it appears.
You will need to change the default theme to another for a while and uninstall sunset until its fixed :)

After I get to the default theme and try to login...it goes to that error message.

Can any of the configuration files be modified to make the forum work again?
