Integration question with my own system [SOLVED]

Hello all,

I'm making my own portal I've built add members to the SMF upon registering with my site for ease of use.  I've got it working fine, integration was a breeze.  I would just like to know if it's possible for me to update the latest member stats upon someone registering on my website.  When I do an AdminBoardRecount() it works, but I'd hate for it to call that function every time someone registered...  It does much more than I need.  So, what I'm asking, is there a code snippet or function that will simply recount the current members and update the latest member?

Any help would be appreciated.
