Simple Link Problem

My forum was installed in (hxxp:www.mysite.com/forums [nonactive]) folder and I just added a link to the menu above, pointing to the main page (hxxp:www.mysite.com [nonactive]).

However, when i click on the link, the link were automatically changed and it added "www.mysite.com/forums" at the beginning part of it. It became hxxp:www.mysite.com/forums/mysite.com [nonactive]

My question is that how can I remove the automatic changing of links?
