Greetings.

I have a fresh install of 1.1.5 and I am attempting to add the WoW Itemstats Mod http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=247.  I use the package uploader tool build into the admin panel, and the .zip file uploads easily.  I have set the Packages folder and all its contents to 777, and I have created a 'temp' folder inside it with the same privileges.

When I attempt to Apply Mod, I receive this error:

The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

When I return to the 'Browse Packages' tab, there is no option to 'Apply Mod' or 'Uninstall,' only 'List Files' and 'Delete' the package.

This seems to be the problem with any Mods I download.

I attempted to manually install the ItemStats mod, but my skills are probably not that advanced yet.  Some of the listed modifications in the .xml files did not correspond with the actual code in the admin.php or ModSettings.php files.

I'm guessing that I'm missing some very simple step, but I cannot seem to find that step, despite several forays into the support forums.

Could someone please help?

Ok, I've changed the all package-infos
<install for="1.1 RC2, 1.1 RC3, 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4, 1.1.5">
See attached file below.

That worked.  Thank you.

Will this be a fix for many mods?

It depends from the realization of the mod: if the last update is related to, example, the rc3 I can't suggest you to apply the modification. But from 1.1.4 and 1.1.5 there are few modifications, so nothing substantially has changed (fix some security stuff and performance).
However now you (I guess) have to apply the modifications to your customized theme.
If you need a help..it could be a way to tell you welcome to smf  ;)

Enjoy your forum.

Thank you again.  I must say that I'm quite excited to find such a vast support network for this device.  I hope to be fully proficient in the coming weeks.

Cheers!
