Links Within the Forum

Hi Guys

I know of a couple of forums where if you send someone a link from within the forum you don't get the whole http://www.forum.com/topic7309.html ...etc

all you get is the subject title of the topic !


for example e.g. Site Information

Can someone please tell me how I can achive this !!

Looks like you replied just as you deleted my post. I re-wrote it in a little more detail

Obviously you can do this with BB Codes and it is even easier to achieve with the WYSIWYG editor in 2.0.x.

If you want something like this to be done automatically you'll have to use a mod. I'm not sure if there is on available already. If not you can request it in Mod Requests

Yes I think I was hoping that this was gonna be done automatically.

If there is a Mod already, what do you think it would be called ? Cause I don't want to upset the guys at the Mods Request by asking for something that is allready present !

it didn't work !!!

I installed the Mod but nothing happens !!!!!! Even though I've enabled the Mod from the Admin CP !! the URLs still look the same way !

what am I doing wrong ?

This doesn't sound like what you need in your original post there. Is this a separate issue? Your initial post asks for a way to show the links instead of just the Subject Text. I don't think there is such a mod for this.

The Pretty URLs mod is only used to change the way the links are displayed. If you have problems using that mod, I suggest posting in their support topic here.
