Nothing new at all.  You have to watch out with using nested quotes.  It gives a nice effect but it can bring your forum down

You mean aesthaetically or it can cause server problems?

Server problems.  A few months back we decided to start a topic that would quote the person that replied before you and keeping the quotes nested.  If started doing something like above.  What we didn't realize that this was putting so much strain on the server.  This caused the old SMF server to go down for a bit.  Looks nice but it's not

Has a quote-limit or something similar to stop something like this from happening again or to someone elses server?

I know you can turn off nested quotes but it should be off by default if it can cause problems

Actually no.  I will bring this up on the team boards for the next version of SMF   But a few quotes wont cause a problem.  What caused the problems quotes were nested over 20 times.  It got to a point the lines started crossing each other and formed an x.

Try is out in your test board or something.  Start a topic and just keep on quoting yourself.  Please don't try this here.
