You should install it from

Admin CP >> Package Manager >> Download Packages

Well, you don't need to make the edits manullay. Package Manager does that for you. Seems like you didn't read the documentation topic I've linked.

1) Download the package suitable for you version.

2) Go to Admin CP >> Package Manager >> Download Packages

3) Click "Browse" beside the "Package to Upload:" textbox.

4) Select your package.

5) Click "Upload".

6) Click "Apply Mod" on the new page.

7) If you don't get any error on the new page, then click "Install".

8) If it will say that, everything is okay; that means your mod is installed.

Thanks I'm using 1.1.4 . but I haven't 1.1.4 Package for Thank You Button , I can found package for all version . but I cann't see package 1.1.4  please give me Thank You Button package for 1.1.4 version

But we suggest you upgrading your forum to the latest version, 1.1.5, cause some serious bugs were issued.

I actually didn't use the mod. But it should have some settings under:

Admin CP >> Features and Options >> Thank You Mod

It is possible that you are using a different language than the ones package support. As I said, it would be a better idea to ask in the mod's support topic.
