G'day,

I have a forum, and it is having some problems.  When origionally testing and setting up, it was being run over two different domains, www.community.aussiefirefighters.org.au [nofollow] and also www.forums.aussiefirefighters.org.au [nofollow]

They used the same database and shared different files, but run in their own sub domain.

I am not sure, but something is wrong, as when I try to add some packages such as the SMF Gallery, I just get errors.  So I am thinking of creating a new forum from scratch in a different sub domain.

What I would like to do is to create a new forum, chang the template etc.  Run this by it self, and make sure it all works with a gallery etc...

Then once completed, ONLY import the Members (Usernames / Password / Files they uploaded), Boards, Child Boards, and Posts over from the old SMF to the New One.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance, Chris.

It is possible to do this, though there is no smf merger script yet.

You can search around as some have posted tricks to doing this.
