Hi I am wanting a simple referral mod, I know that theres an affiliate mod out there but that has to much and i am not wanting to give out $$. I just want the referral part of it.

I need to be able to till who has sent who to the forum. like a link uses can send out with there username, and when someone visits via the link the user get credits for it.. I am using the shop mod and plan on giving people points for getting others to sign up. It does not have to be intergraded to shop I can do it all by hand I just need to know who sent who..

ok sorry if i am confusing.

** bump **

I've been trawling through all the old posts and looking for something similar.

I found the "Complete Affiliate Mod" but it seems very buggy and only geared to pay-per-post and other such things.

And there isn't really any description on the "Affiliate Mod" and some of the links seem to point in the wrong direction so I'm not really sure what that one is about.

I'm after exactly the same thing as wendylady: A mod that allows people to generate a personalised link and post it to forums or send out an emails to their pals and which, when clicked and a visitor either signs up or even just visits (if you could set this separately, that would be awesome), the referrer gets one point (or even X points)--redeemable for whatever.

Is there, indeed, a mod that does this?

Cheers.

karlbenson referred me (not pun intended!) to this one:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1114

Seems to have the features I'm after.

So if you're reading this thinking "Yeah! That's what I'm looking for too!" then I think we may have found our solution (courtesy of karlbenson and YodaOfDarkness).
