[1.X] firefox 3 + bookmark previews extension crash

firefox 3.0.X mac, os x tiger 10.4.11. when i run firefox 3 with the "bookmark previews" extension (hxxp:bookmarkpreviews.mozdev.org/ [nonactive]) loaded, firefox crashes every time i try to visit a site that has smf installed (pretty much any version < 2). i am also posting this bug in bookmark previews' reporter.

is this an smf bug or a bookmark previews bug?
