Force "send post text in email" for all users?

Hi,
I would like to enable the "When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)" option for all users without going in to each profile individually. Is this possible? This way, users can choose whether or not they want to receive the notification emails but for all users if they DO receive the notification emails, they'll get the text in said email.

In a test of this option on my own account, I've noticed that while the post text is included, the name of the sender isn't. Is this something I can add?

Thanks.

If you uncheck Don't allow post text in notifications, in Admin > Features and Options > Basic Features, the text will be included in the notification to everyone.  That's a setting that applies to everyone without editing the profile.  Also keep in mind this setting does not apply to PM notifications.

Edited to correct myself:  Boy did I have that wrong.  This does nothing but put the option in the profile to include the text.

That is already unchecked but people aren't receiving the text in their emails unless they also tick the box in their profile.

The box in the profile is a notification of a PM.

These are two separate things you are talking about.

What? No it's not. They're both referring to replies to the topic.

"Don't allow post text in notifications, in Admin > Features and Options > Basic Features" in unchecked. Regardless of this, people ARE NOT receiving post text in their emails.

"When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)"
When this is ticked in a user's profile, they DO receive the post text of the TOPIC they are subscribed to, in their emails. I want to force this for all users.

PMs are not involved here in any way. Forget about the PMs. They're irrelevant.

I see what you want now.

By unchecking "Don't allow post text in notifications" that places the option in the profile that you want to check.

I didn't see that as an option in the setting that you can reset for the theme.

There should be a manual SQL command to alter the flag in each and every members account.  But that being said I'm not sure what other flags would be needed to make it work.  Like if they haven't got notifications on at all and that is forced flagged then I'm not sure what kind of issue SMF might have.

Unless you want to force everyone to receive notifications and everyone to receive all the text in those notifications.  Certainly doesn't give them much of an incentive to return to the forums to check things out.
