How can I prevent threads from being moved to a specific board?

I can modify permissions so that people can't move threads on a certain board, but I can't remove boards from the "move to" list.  Is there a hidden way to do this?  For example, moderators on my forums can accidentally move threads to the "Latest News" section which they should not be able to post on or have access.

there is no way by default to do that. you would need a mod and i dont know of any that do what you want.

God damn.  Seems a bit ridiculous that you can restrict someone from posting in a specific board but as long as they have move powers they can bring threads anywhere.  Anyone know of a mod that fixes this?

Moderators assigned to specific boards should not be allowed to move topics from those boards.  That permission should be restricted to admins and global mods.

no it is not restricted, if a mod can view the board they can move a thread to that board.

Yes, but if you disable the permission, they can't move any topics anywhere.  That was my point.

Yeah.  I want the moderators to be able to move threads.  Just not where it can be seen on the front page of the website. 

It's stupid that this functionality doesn't exist.

Reading between the lines do you want the mods to move stuff to boards that are not publically viewable?

If that is correct, may I suggest it is a question of telling the mods to do it that way.

Mods on my forum have to move posts etc that are in the wrong place as well as moving stuff out of the public gaze, hence they need to be able to move stuff to every board that is visible to them, it depends on the reason for the move. It is a question of trusting the Mods, if they are not good or don't do as they are asked Admin has the final say and can easily remove the Mod bit
