Hello, my forums have always given me emails such as:
Quote
Niler-Forums: SMF Database Error!

There has been a problem with the database!

This is a notice email to let you know that SMF could not connect to the database, contact your host if this continues.
But in the past few days it has just went overboard. I get about 100 of those in 2 hours. Is there a way to fix this? I've never gotten any of these errors myself. This is my site: hxxp:www.niler.net/board/index.php [nonactive]
I appreciate anybody that can help me.

I moved this topic to support as its not a SMF bug. Appears like it may be a hosting issue too as SMF cant reach your database at times. Of course you can always disable this in the admin panel if necessary.

Do you know where I can find this option?

It should be an option in the Admin CP (Cpanel WHM), or the forum (frankly, can't remember now). Just disable sending mails during database problems.
My guess is that your Host shuts down MySQL, hence, the E-mails being sent.

For some reason I just can't find it. Also The database may be going down but nobody is on the site when it happens(whenever I get the email I go to the site and nobody is on besides me).

Nevermind, it's not solved. It still sends emails! I've even tried changing the php in $db_error_send to 0 and it still sends errors!

In that case, I think it's Server related. Contact your Host regarding this :)
