Scroll Bar on Images

I want to intruduce a sroll bar on pics that are larger than 1600pixels .. how do i edit to do this ..

as is big pics drop off the page

or something that will detect screen res being used and add scroll bars accordingly

What theme are you using, as this is a default feature of SMF. I know in the core theme it will auto resize the forum to fit the resolution viewing client.  But you'll still get scroll bars for images larger than current screen resolution.
I'm only aware of methods to get rid of those ugly scroll bars.

Download display.template.php, do you have the following in the file?
