Also don't forget that most hosts make backups every 24-48 hours, and they are usually full cPanel (or whatever other control panel software) backups.

When in doubt, ask your host

Except my host when I had that issue luckily I had a backup, but they reloaded my site and it was 2weeks behind. Kinda made me loose all faith in their backup policy.

When I complained they told me they make periodic backups and if I want more involved backups they would have to charge. 99.9% Up time and daily backups my ass
