Its your logo that made it look like that.

Also depends on what you want to achieve.  Best option would be to put the gradient into your banner, so it lines up and displays better.

OK from the looks of it you entered the url for the banner/header in the admin area. For a header that large you are going to need to do a little trick here.

To get this the way you want it (I think) you will need to attach a few things to your next post.

1. index.template.php
2. style.css
3. Image you want to use as the header

Also need to know if you want this aligned center, left or right.

Need to know if you want the forum name that is entered in the server settings area to also show in the header area.

Need to know if you want the dark blue image (catbg) to remain in the header as well. Most people do not since it rarely goes with the header.
