How can I suscribe ti a topic without answerin on it. (for locating it fast)

It should be a button "subscribe to this tread", but I cant see it or its not here

Its called Notifications in SMF.

Click Notify inside a topic to be notified of posts
Or click Notify in a board to be notified about all topics in the board.

But notify is for new replies.

I thought there was an option to mark a topic as "favorite" and access to it thrugh the control panel

There is no favorites section.

You'll probably require a bookmark mod to do that (theres various ones on the mod site).

The notification list can also function that way as all topics you have marked as notified will show in a list in the profile section.

notify does not appare to be working in 2.0RC1
i am the admin on 2 boards with SMF 2.0 and only the admin & G-Mods are getting notices of new members and post replies
i also have 1 or 2 reg member sett up on each board and have some topics marked as notify and do not receive any notification of any new post or replies in these areas
members are also not receiving the activation emails either
is there something i have left out in setting up my forums or is it just not working properly
