Urgent help needed regarding Profile.English.php lang file.

Hello All..

Hope all is well with all of you.

well i was installing a mod Signature Drop Down Option manually. I did it but it didnt work and i by mistake pasted the wrong file coding of Profile.English in Languages folder.

can you please tell me what is the solution. no one can open the profile even Admministrator it gaves error.

which offcorce is coz of the code. because there is no any code for that language. and i have installed lot of mods also .

what will happen???

Please help me how can i get the coding of Profile.English.php back coz the coding of that file isnt in it now there is a coding of different file???

i installed a new forum immidiately and copy the code from there of Profile.English.php and copied to the corrupted file and it worked.

You could have just used FTP to directly get to the profile.english.php and edited it to repair it but unfortunately you deleted the forum so fast (16 mins since first post) not many people would have had chance to see this post.

A little patience goes a long way as well.

well i didnt uninstalled my origional forum. i installed the enw forum in a different place and copied the code from the file of new forum and copied back the code to the file which i made messed up.

My origional forum is running fine again...  and i deleted the newly installed forum... Happy with my origional forum there were lot of posts which i did and couldnt post them again....

You know with SMF the actual posts are stored in a database so you can completely flatten the forum and replace it and still not loose your posts as long as you just use the same DB prefix and PW again.
