Several error messages seemingly related to session timeout

Beginning a few days ago, I'm getting error messages on my board in the following scenarios.

When trying to start a new post or reply, I'm getting
"Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message."

When trying to log out or access the admin console, I get
"Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."
Of note, it doesn't log me out. I can only log out by clearing my cookies.

When trying to log in, it tells me "Password incorrect" on my first attempt but on my second attempt it is successful.
On my first attempt, it will have PHPSESSID= with a long string in the URL. Is that normal?

So far as I'm aware, I'm the only one that it's happening to. I don't have any problems on my laptop on the same connection. I've tried using Firefox and IE7. I've cleared my cookies, cache, etc. I've rebooted. I've tried using the default theme. Am I missing any other normal steps?

Nothing has changed recently for SMF itself but I did recently install mediawiki on the same domain; I wouldn't think that would be the culprit.

My board is hxxp:sbcol.net [nonactive] and it's version 1.1.9

I did some limited searching but all of the topics I found were relating to 1.1.8 or much older (ie 2005). Any suggestions? I read some topics talking about potential for certain files to be out of date but that was talking about the transition from 1.1.7 to 1.1.8. I've been on 1.1.9 for some time now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest upgrading to 1.1.10, this may fix the database issues you have as well.

It's working now.

Coincidentally enough, shortly after posting this thread, I began receiving the error (which is what I assume snork13 was also seeing) "Can't open file: 'smf_log_online.MYI' (errno: 145)". A quick search found this thread and after repairing on the smf_log_online & smf_sessions tables, it's running properly now.

I'll look at 1.1.10, wasn't even aware that the update was available.

glad it's working. upgrading is a snap. make a backup first ;D

Password incorrect - Username

It seems, like @gschwendt was seeing, members get this when logging in using the quick login but when directed after to the full login page they can enter the same password and get straight in. Is the session cookie stopping the quick login from working correctly?

It doesn't happen to all members and I have experienced it myself but it does seem very common.

Any ideas?
