Curve theme - create copy of theme based on... option

If the Curve theme is going to be supplied with RC2 (?) onwards can I make a request /suggestion that there could be an option in admin > themes and settings to generate a copy of this Curve theme in the same way as Admins can currently generate a copy of default when they want to make a new theme.

I usually use copies of the default theme to make my own color variations and so if it was possible, I think it would be good to also have this option for the Curve theme so people could make color alterations of this excellent new (default) theme.

If not then maybe someone could produce another color variation of Curve, say a darker version, but that would be my second choice only.

It would be much more beneficial to allow Admins to create new themes based on a copy of Curve

Given Curve is slated to be the new default theme in 2.0, the current feature will work in that way.

that's excellent news.  I was hoping that was the case but I couldn't find anything specific to support it
