This is the third time I have attempted to post this topic.  The capcha is really getting irritating FAST.  Please do something about this.

In any case, here is my problem...

When you go to the profile menu to change the theme, you click "Choose..." and are directed to a page full of text rather than the theme chooser.  How can I fix this?

1) The captcha will go away after 5 or 10 posts. It is an Anti-Spam measure.

2) The screenshot provided shows the result of malicious code. Please check your template and source files for malicious code that may have been injected to the top of your files and post back with the results.

I tried re-installing an older version of SMF that I had backed up.  For a moment I had the theme chooser back.  But then when I upgraded from 1.1.5 to 1.1.8 and changed the meta tags, I was back to the garbage posted in the screen shot.  I tried putting the meta tags back to the way they were by default and that didn't help either.  I do not know how to look for malicious code.  I don't know the first thing about scripting.

Can you attach your index.php from your forum root directory? (the one that contains /Sources, /Themes, etc.)

Here's the index.php from the forum directory.  Thanks for all your help.

Use this one

copy the codes and replace it with the one you sent..

Dipper

Thanks for taking the time.  Unfortunately, that didn't change anything. :(

Afro

I removed a malicious codes injected at the beginning of the index.php file.

I believe there are more files with malicious codes. If you havent installed mods, i suggest you unzip an install a new source files. If you have installed mods, attach your /source/subs.php file. lets see how it is

Dipper, do you still need help with this?

Your site has been affected by the 1.1.8 exploit. You should look at upgrading to 1.1.9 and then running the cleanup tool.
