Usergroup cookie problem with 1.1.8

Hello all,

I'm running 1.1.8, and trying to edit a user's account to make him an administrator. When I go to change his profile, his email address and password are saved with MY info, instead of his. If I save the changes to his account, his password goes away and his email becomes mine.

How do I go about simply promoting a user, without changing the rest of the details?

Welcome to SMF.

You should be able to change the primary membergroup to Administrator without having to change anything else.
